Amazing. I enjoyed this book from page 1 to the last! I was shedding tears before I even had a chance to really know the characters, that’s how captivating this book was! It also had me looking like a fool grinning from ear to ear staring at my phone. I couldn’t put it down! It’s the kind of story that sticks with you even after it’s been a while since you finished the book. Love, love, loved it! Read it, you won’t regret it!
Another Fabulous Read
I felt so many emotions reading this story. I related to the main character, Presley and some of what she went through in this book because a similar thing happened in my own family. I cried ugly tears more than once. But through my tears I kept reading. I Could Not Put It Down. I have read all of Corinne’s books and love them all! Corinne’s writing draws you in, makes you feel everything and you fall in love with the world she has created. I loved Presley and Zack's story and all the ups and downs that go along with it. Corinne is one of my favorite authors and I'm so glad I found her work!
I don't understand the great reviews
This book was boring and predictable. I felt like I was reading a script of a PG rated lifetime tv special.
I found this book on a list of "ugly cry books" and it was the second one I tried. The first one I tried was GREAT!!!! Carnage, it's about a rock star and is based in the U.K. But it's truly a heart wrenching book that happily has a HEA.
This author is AMAZING! I judge a book based on my feeling when reading it. If they can make me feel what they are feeling, they are good. But Corinne Michaels, she's definitely doing something right! I love, love, loved it! Highly recommend!!

I was browsing around to find a new audiobook to listen to, while I commute. I stumbled upon this gem of a story. I’ve never read a Corinne Michaels book before. But OMG! why did I not know of this amazing storyteller?!
In the beginning of the story, I felt something was not right. Of course, it really wasn’t what I had expected but Michaels really wanted to tear at your heart a little in the first few pages.
I loved the feel of this book. The only way I can describe it is, it's like Sweet Home Alabama. The whole small town, unrequited love. Presley and Zachary’s story was never finished. They lost so many years without each other. But sometimes hurt and no closure can do that.
When Zachary and Presley finally get together, It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read/listened to. This is also one of the greatest love stories.
The narrators of this story were amazing. I loved Andi and Sawyer’s narration. Andi just really brought Presley to life. Every heartbreak, every secret, and every moment of love that filters from these characters. I felt all of them. I’m going to have to listen to more by her. They're a really great pair to listen to. And I’m a bit picky when listening to audiobooks.
Overall, I give this Five HUGE Boundless Stars. Say You’ll Stay, a beautiful, heartbreaking masterpiece.
Gripping-jaw dropping-fist clenching right from the beginning!
I was hooked so hard from page one I couldn't stop reading till I read the last page.
Presley is one tough woman! A woman forced to find out how strong she really is from surcumstances not of her own making.
What she needed was an even stronger man.
Zach had a lot of growing up to do. But when you read about the man he becomes (fanning myself just thinking about him)
I was cheering on these characters page after page!
I really don't know how Corinne can take something so sad-so bad, and make it beautiful. That is the magic she can paint through her words on the page though. And this book proves it!
Have tissues ready! Loved Zach and Presley, and all the Hennington boys! Keeps you on the edge of your seat, can't put it down! Must read!
First Love and Second Chances
I love a good second chance romance and Say You'll Stay did not disappoint! I was completely unprepared for the beginning and knew that I wouldn't be able to put this one down. I fell in love with the characters and with Bell Buckle, TN. This is book 1 in the author's Return to Me series of interconnected stand alones about the Hennington brothers.
Zach. I am still swooning for this cowboy. He is the perfect blend of cocky and vulnerable. It's clear that although 17 years have passed between him and Presley, their feelings and connection are just as strong (if not stronger) as when they were teenagers. Yes, he lost a few points in my book for not ending things with Felicia before things started to change between him and Presley, but I loved how devoted he was to trying again once Presley returned. He was patient, understanding, and sweet as he and Presley got to know each other again as adults. They have so much history and pain to wade through, especially Presley, and the flashbacks to the past were perfectly placed to shed light on how these two got to this point. I do wish that there had been more Zach chapters though, because I often wondered what was going on in his mind.
Presley. I both loved her and was annoyed by her. I understand that when things went south the first time, she was only 18, so she wasn't the most mature. Honestly, neither was Zach, but that's young love. It's all consuming and emotional. They were living off the dreams of first love and the reality didn't match up. I really liked that the story addressed that even if different choices had been made, the relationship still might not have survived. So much in life is about timing. I thought things moved a little quickly after all the tragedy Presley has faced, but at the same time not fast enough since Zach and Presley have known each other since they were kids and the spark never died. Another thing in the story that annoyed me was Felicia. I understand why there was the whole other woman plot line and that Zach would not have been unattached for 17 years, but the amount of hostility and anger towards Felicia seemed over the top. Yes, she's terrible and catty, but I was really curious as to why there was so much hate towards her. Everyone got their comeuppance though, so it all worked out ;)
I definitely enjoyed the secondary characters in this book like Cooper, Angie, Grace, and the up in your business all the time residents of Bell Buckle, but I especially loved Wyatt. He's the loyal brother and best friend who wants something more. His scenes were hilarious, heartfelt, and bittersweet. I was happy to see that book 2 in the series will be his story. I really enjoyed this second chance love story and can't wait to return to my favorite town in Tennessee.
Say you Want Me can be read as a stand alone but you meet the hero and heroine in the first book, Say You'll Stay. Wyatt Hennington is Zach's younger brother and Presley's best friend from childhood. Angie is Presleys ex sister-in-law and best friend. They have hooked up a few times over the last couple of years and have insane chemistry. In this book they give their relationship a chance. Wyatt is a really great guy. Hard working, sensitive, and sexy. Angie is a fiercely independent woman who really doesn't have anyone she can count on. I didn't fall in love with this book like I did the first one. Something was off. But it may have very well just been me. I didn't really buy into their relationship. But it was interesting to see Wyatt and Angie work through their problems and the writing is phenomenal. I love everything Corinne Michaels has written and can't wait to read the next one.
