    A beautifully rendered memoir of a wonderfully brave and exhilarating adventure. Though it was stimulating it left me sad for her life before this adventure. I was not convinced that her teaching filled all those emotional nodes that seemed so pitifully empty. But the story of this adventure was inspiring and most fascinating.

    This is a book in which a reader can get totally involved in the lead character's adventures- especially if they are over sixty. She is totally descriptive about her feelings and her sex life, so this is not for one who is easily embarrassed. After reading this book I felt young, uplifted, beautiful, and feminine. I'm 65 years old. The only question that kept going through my head was how could a woman that was so intellectually capable be so common sense stupid.
