    It is difficult for anyone who loves history and freedom to read more than few pages of Churchill without either pausing to smile at his droll wit and sharp insight or tear up at his eloquence in victory and defeat. These WWII volumes are wonderful. If you can find the full, unabridged volumes of his "History of The English Speaking Peoples" grab them as well. Along with "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" by Gibbon, this is what Americans should read to understand the cultural forces that shaped the concepts of liberty and natural rights that are the basis of our republic. Anyway, great book.
