    I quickly downloaded this book before I got on a plane during one of my trips, I didn't even read what it was about. To my surprise I LOVED it 😍 I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

    Loved this book and had a feeling that Blair's story would impact me right in the feels! And Garrett, that boy was all that and a bag of chips (yes, I'm old). The Player is the second book in The Wedding pact series, that follows three friends as they navigates wedding cruses and finding true love. Blair is front and center in The Player. She is no-nonsense lawyer and takes no BS from anyone. Blair is good at what she does, but she harbors hurt and pain from her childhood that has caused her to build walls around her heart. Blair is fine with having a loveless marriage in order to protect herself. However, as her wedding day gets closer she starts to doubt what she always thought she wanted. Blair's life changes forever when she has a run in with the love of her life, Garrett, who reignite a passion Blair has long thought buried and she begins to question everything she once thought true. Oh Garrett. I think I fell in love with him from when he first step on the page! Garrett let the love of his life slip through is fingers years ago, but once he sees Blair again, he is willing to do anything to win her back. Good thing, Blair is marrying Garrett's cousin! As Blair and Garrett are thrown together over and over again it becomes quite clear that their story is not over. Garrett is desperate to show Blair that he is the man for her, but Blair is not ready to let her wall down. As Blair begins to re-think her life, her fiancé has one last trick up his sleeve to derail Blair and Garrett's reunion. The whole time I was reading this story I was routing for Garrett and Blair. It was fun to watch them find each other again. And did I mention how much I loved Garrett, he was just so yummy throughout the book!

    This is the second book in a romantic comedy series by Denise Grover Swank. I enjoyed reading about and getting to know all the characters in the first book, The Substitute, and this story focuses on one of the characters, Blair. Blair was not my favorite character in the first book, but I feel like I understand her motivations a little better after reading her story. I enjoyed the book and actually laughed out loud at some parts. It is a great choice for a light-hearted, relaxing read.

    I loved The Substitute even though the character Blair honestly rubbed me the wrong way. I thought she was a nosey witch and cold as ice! I must say this story being about her kinda worried me due to not liking her character very much. But as usual leave it to Denise to make u fall in love with Blair in her book! It was fun and different to see Blair in a different light. It was a great story and just when u think u know what is going to happen of course Denise throws her twists in a bit! I highly recommend this whole series to EVERYONE!!! Happy reading 😊

    Hard to believe this was written by the same author that penned the Rose Gardner books. From the first few pages, I was disappointed in a story filled with stereotyped characters and cliche situations. Not what I had come to expect. I finished it, hoping it would get better, but it did not.
